Oscar’s 2-Month Stats

This morning when I was getting ready, there was a spider in my bathroom. Not uncommon given we’re in a developing neighborhood and there’s farmland on one side of us.  It doesn’t matter how many spiders I see. I am really ooged out by them and ALWAYS ask Chris to come to the rescue. I’m excellent at trapping spiders, but a complete wuss when it comes to killing them.  As I was staring at this spider today, holding Oscar, I thought, “Gee, I sure am glad there are THREE big guys in this house who can rescue me from spiders.”

When I say big, I’m not kidding.  I thought Walt was huge (uh, he’s 95%+ in all of his physical stats and has been since birth). Turns out, Oscar wants to make sure he’s not the runt of the family. At our visit, we learned that Oscar’s stats are:

Weight: 14 lbs 11 oz (90th percentile)
Height: 24.5″ (95th percentile)
Head: 16.5″ (98 percentile)

What’s craziest to me about these stats are how much bigger than Walt he is at this age.  At Walt’s two-month visit he was 12 lbs 14 oz and 23″ long. It was actually the only time he dipped below the 90th percentile in height, but still tall. Oscar is actually closer to Walt’s size when Walt was four months old!

So, I feel like I’ll be aptly protected from spiders… and probably most living creatures with my big boys.

Did I mention this kiddo is a champ at tummy time? He loves it!

Took a mama/son selfie… just to prove I actually do exist.
